I’m taking a break from the meat and metal to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wonderful wife. Since this is a food blog, here’s the food-related bits of our anniversary celebration.
We’re going to Stone Creek Dining, which is where we held our rehearsal dinner. We also ordered a small cake from Brenda’s Cakes and Catering, who made our wedding cake. Instead of freezing it for a year, we ate the top layer of our cake when our wedding photos came in and ordered a new one for our anniversary. Fresh cake beats frozen, and it’s fantastic. (We had a little bit yesterday.)
You may have noticed I’ve been posting Whole30 compliant recipes – yes, I was following the program. Cake is not on the program. I’m off the wagon while I celebrate. Healthy eating resumes next week.
