I made a meal without meat and I liked it. A lot. I liked it so much that I made a video about it.
I’m taking a break from the meat and metal to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wonderful wife. Since this is a food blog, here’s the food-related bits of our anniversary celebration.
Most Whole30 meals feel like some sort of sad compromise, but we’re going to keep this one in the rotation even after we’re done with the program. How can you argue with buffalo chicken?
My wife doesn’t send me links to websites. She takes screenshots of websites on her phone and sends them to me. I’ve made this recipe many times but had no idea where it came from. It took some work, but we finally found the source.

This recipe was from a college friend, who taught it to our fraternity’s cook. It lost something when scaled up to feed 30+ people, but much like beer and whiskey, nacho chicken is much better in a small batch, shared with friends.
Turns out most breakfast sausages have sugar in them, which is probably why they’re awesome. This recipe isn’t quite the same as Jimmy Dean, but it’ll get you through your 30 days.
